When a phone is unlocked you can use it on different carries,
Such as a unlocked T-mobile phone will work on at&t. etc

You have to call the company the phone is locked to or call the phone manufacturer because unlock codesare IMEI sensitive.

I’m planning to buy an unlocked phone, later choosing a carrier. Then would the phone stay unlocked thus being able to change the carrier freely with a different SIM card? Or is it possible for the unlocked phone to ‘become’ locked after choosing a carrier?

No Once the Mobile Unlocked means It cannot be Locked Again….So that Unlocked mobile phone can be Free to use with other GSM network,For Unlocking the mobile Unlock code is best….

I have service with AT&T and bought a BB Storm off eBay, I need the Service Books for the Internet Browser also my text is not working properly. I can receive texts but I cant send them.. Please help

the texts are going to be a carrier issue, so you will need to call them for that. as for the service books, the problem with that is that you are going cross carrier, getting the service books sent out to yo is going to be very difficult, because the device that you have is not on the carrier device list on blackberry bis site, so calling you’re carrier to get those service books sent out isn’t going to work, when they log into the bb bis admin site they will get the message along the lines of wrong carrier, not on carrier list. you will need to get ahold of blackberry support (you’re carrier can give you the #) and get them to send the service books.
